Privacy Policy
Last updated October 7, 2026. How TruNorth collects, uses and protects information.
This Privacy Policy explains how TruNorth Advisory LLC, doing business as TruNorth ("TruNorth," "we," "us"), collects, uses and shares information through findingtrunorth.com, the TruNorth Ops demo at demo.findingtrunorth.com, and the TruNorth Ops application (together, the "Services").
1. Who we are
TruNorth Advisory LLC is a Florida limited liability company at 389 Berkeley Street, Satellite Beach, FL 32937. Questions about privacy: jason@findingtrunorth.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us.
- Contact and lead details: name, company, email, phone and anything you write when you contact us, book a call, take the shop check, join our email list, or unlock the demo estimator.
- Account details: for TruNorth Ops customers, the names, emails, roles and login details of the account owner and users.
- Payment details: billing name, address and payment method, collected and stored by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers.
Customer Data in TruNorth Ops. Customers and their users enter business records into the app, such as jobs, property and customer contacts, field sheets, crew time, equipment, photos, safety records, estimates and invoices. The customer controls this data. We process it only to provide the service under the Subscription Agreement. If you are a customer's client or employee and want to access or change your information, please contact that company directly; we will help them respond.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website or use the Services we collect device and usage information, such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring site, and dates and times of visits, through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 9). The demo also stores some information in your browser so you don't have to re-enter it.
3. How we use information
- Provide, operate, maintain and support the Services, including setting up accounts and users.
- Process payments, send invoices and receipts, and manage subscriptions.
- Respond to questions, schedule calls, and send information you asked for.
- Send product updates and, if you opted in, marketing emails. You can unsubscribe any time.
- Keep the Services secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix problems.
- Understand how the Services are used so we can improve them, using aggregated or de-identified information where possible.
- Comply with law and enforce our agreements.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. AI features
Some TruNorth Ops features, such as automated review of field sheets and billing, send the relevant Customer Data to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate results. That provider processes the data only to return results to us, under terms that prohibit using it to train their AI models. AI results can be wrong; users should review them before relying on them.
5. How we share information
We share information only as described here:
- Service providers that host, run or support the Services for us, under contracts that limit their use of the data:
| Provider | What they do for us |
|---|---|
| Squarespace | Hosts findingtrunorth.com, forms and email list |
| Netlify | Hosts the TruNorth Ops app and demo |
| Cloud database provider | Stores TruNorth Ops account and Customer Data |
| Resend | Sends app emails such as notices and reports |
| Anthropic | Processes data for AI review features |
| Stripe | Processes payments and subscriptions |
| Calendar booking for calls | |
| Jotform | Runs the shop check questionnaire |
| FormSubmit | Delivers demo sign-up details to our inbox |
- Within a customer account: users in the same company account can see that company's data according to the roles the account admin assigns.
- Legal reasons: when required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, property or safety of TruNorth, our customers or others.
- Business transfers: if TruNorth is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that deal, subject to this policy.
- With your permission: any other sharing you ask for or agree to.
6. How long we keep information
We keep account and Customer Data while a subscription is active. After it ends, customers have 30 days to export their data, after which we delete it from active systems; copies in routine backups are deleted on the normal backup cycle. We keep billing records as long as tax and accounting laws require, and lead and contact information until you ask us to delete it or it is no longer useful.
7. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and role-based permissions, separate data storage for each customer, and providers with strong security practices. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you and, where required, regulators, as the law requires.
8. Your choices
- Email: unsubscribe from marketing using the link in any email. We will still send account and billing messages.
- Access, correction and deletion: email jason@findingtrunorth.com to ask what we hold about you, or to correct or delete it. We will respond within 30 days and may need to verify your identity. Customer Data requests go to the customer that controls it.
- Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser; some features may not work without them.
9. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep it working, remember preferences, and measure traffic, including Squarespace Analytics and, if enabled, Google Analytics. These tools tell us things like which pages are popular and where visitors come from. The app uses browser storage to keep you signed in and to work offline.
10. Children
The Services are for businesses and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, email account owners before they take effect.
